Description
AutoCAD Designer
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
We are seeking a AutoCAD Designer to join our corporate office team. This is a great opportunity for someone with AutoCAD, drafting, engineering technology, construction, or infrastructure experience who is interested in growing into a technical design role supporting pump station, stormwater, wastewater, and water infrastructure projects.
In this role, you will support the front end of project development by helping review drawings, prepare layouts, assist with technical documentation, and coordinate with internal teams before projects move into production. You do not need to be a pump station expert coming in; we are looking for someone with strong technical aptitude, AutoCAD experience, attention to detail, and the ability to learn complex infrastructure systems.
Reporting to our VP of Stormwater Solutions, you’ll work closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management teams to help ensure proposed solutions are accurate, practical, and manufacturable.
A highlight of your day-to-day will include:
Assisting with pump station design requests, including layouts, system configurations, product selection, and basic design documentation
Creating, modifying, and reviewing AutoCAD drawings, layouts, and related technical documents
Reviewing engineered drawings, plans, and specifications to help identify project requirements
Supporting preparation of submittal packages, specification support documents, and customer-facing technical materials
Learning pump station products, wet wells, valve vaults, controls, and related water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure systems
Providing technical support to internal teams by helping gather project details, clarify drawings, and organize design information
Project Coordination & Team Support:
Supporting design-phase project activities and helping maintain clear communication across internal teams
Collaborating with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management to support quoting, project review, and pre-order activities
Using available tools, vendor information, and internal resources to help develop practical project solutions
Contributing to process improvements that help increase accuracy, speed, and customer experience
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Associate’s degree, technical certification, coursework, or equivalent experience in drafting, engineering technology, construction, CAD design, or a related field preferred
1+ year of experience in drafting, AutoCAD design, technical support, estimating, construction coordination, manufacturing, infrastructure, or a related technical role preferred
Working knowledge of AutoCAD software required
Ability to read and understand basic engineered drawings, construction documents, layouts, or specifications
Interest in learning pump stations, stormwater, wastewater, water infrastructure, hydraulic systems, or related civil/mechanical systems
Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and willingness to learn
Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, customers, engineers, municipalities, and contractors
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required; BlueBeam Revu, Salesforce CRM, or related technical support tools preferred
