DT Technician - Secondary School - Camden - June 2026 Start - Full-TimeAre you an experienced DT Technician or someone with a strong practical background looking to support a dynamic secondary school environment? Are you organised, hands-on, and passionate about supporting creative and technical learning?Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Camden seeking a DT Technician to join their Design & Technology department on a full-time, long-term basis, starting in June 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting practical lessons and ensuring a safe, engaging learning environment for students.DT Technician - Role Overview As a DT Technician, you will support the smooth running of the Design & Technology department across KS3 and KS4. Your responsibilities will include:Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for practical lessonsSupporting teachers and students during workshop-based activitiesMaintaining and organising machinery, tools, and stockEnsuring all equipment is safe, clean, and in good working orderAssisting with demonstrations and practical tasks where requiredMonitoring and managing stock levels, placing orders where necessaryEnsuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all timesSupporting with risk assessments and safe working practicesMaintaining a tidy, safe, and efficient workshop environmentRequirementsPrevious experience working in a school or workshop environment (desirable)Strong practical skills (woodwork, metalwork, or resistant materials preferred)Good understanding of health and safety procedures within a workshop settingOrganised, proactive, and able to manage workload effectivelyAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills and a willingness to support studentsEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)What's on OfferA supportive and well-resourced secondary school in CamdenFull-time role: Monday to Friday, term-time onlyOpportunity to work within a creative and hands-on departmentA key support role contributing to engaging and practical learningOngoing training and professional developmentPotential for a long-term or permanent positionHow to ApplyIf you are a DT Technician or have relevant practical experience and are looking for a full-time opportunity in Camden starting in June 2026, we would love to hear from you.For more information, please contact Elizabeth Topley by emailing elizabeth.topley@twrecruitment.com or calling 0207 845 5450 (option 3).
