Senior AI Programmer (Frostpunk 1886)

This position requires working in hybrid model in our Warsaw office

What will you be doing on a day-to-day basis?

• Designing and implementing modifications, enhancements and fixes to existing modules in accordance with project requirements, focusing on AI,

• Assessing project requirements and determining appropriate implementation approaches,

• Code maintenance,

• Diagnosing and resolving programming errors,

• Close collaboration with other members of the development team.

What will help you succeed in this role?

• At least 8 years of professional experience on similar position,

• At least 5 years of professional experience working in Unreal Engine,

• Deep practical knowledge of C++,

• Deep understanding of gameplay systems, player experience and modern game design,

• Proven ability to design, implement and own complex gameplay features and systems from concept to release,

• Ability to define gameplay programming standards, best practices and development workflows,

• Ability to identify technical risks, propose solutions and drive technical decisions across multiple features,

• Experience mentoring other programmers and providing technical guidance within a development team,

• Taking ownership and working iteratively on features, from design to delivery phase,

• Experience in the architecture and implementation of AI behaviour systems,

• Experience working on strategy or citybuilding games would be a strong advantage,

• Knowledge about crowd simulation systems capable of handling hundreds of agents is a benefit,

• Good communication skills,

• Fluent English.
