SEND Teaching Assistant Peterborough

About the role:

Justteachers is offering an opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a community primary school in Peterborough. The role is to start September 2026 and is expected to last until the Christmas break.

The role is full-time and will include working 1:1 with a KS2 student with SEN.

With a focus on inclusion, the school ensures every child and teacher feels valued and supported, creating a welcoming and respectful environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

• To support a Y4 student with complex needs on a 1:1 basis
• Provide feedback to the main class teacher and SENCO
• Provide a safe learning environment for the student
• Build strong rapport and support with learning activities

Pre-requisites:

• TA Level 3 qualification preferred
• Proven SEN/SEMH experience
• Two education or school-based references
• Ability to build rapport with students of all backgrounds and abilities
