Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Specialist to take technical ownership of part of a modern cheese manufacturing facility. This role demands a skilled professional with strong mechanical and electrical expertise, responsible for ensuring optimal maintenance and operational reliability of critical production equipment.

Responsibilities:
•    Take technical responsibility for a designated section of the plant’s machinery and systems.
•    Serve as a knowledge expert in mechanical and electrical engineering.
•    Analyze and resolve complex technical faults independently, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
•    Plan, prepare, and coordinate maintenance activities carried out by internal technicians and external partners.
•    Collaborate with production, planning, quality, and external suppliers to facilitate smooth maintenance operations.
•    Investigate breakdowns and contribute to the development of maintenance strategies and improvement initiatives.
•    Lead and develop a team of technicians, fostering their skills and knowledge to enhance overall technical competence.
•    Drive continuous improvement efforts to increase reliability, availability, and performance of plant equipment.

Requirements:
•    At least 8 years’ technical experience with a relevant diploma (HBO level) or more than 4 years with a secondary vocational education (MBO level).
•    Strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, preferably in food, dairy, or related industries such as chemie or pharma.
•    Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems; practical tinkering is essential.
•    Fluent in both Dutch and English, with excellent communication skills.
•    Previous experience in a maintenance leadership or senior technician role would be advantageous.
•    Ability to analyze problems independently and communicate effectively with both management and technical staff.
•    Willingness to work approximately 38 hours per week; 32 hours considered for the right candidate.
