This role supports day‑to‑day provider contracting and network activities across the Florida market.</p><p></p><h3>Duties and Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Manage the submission process for fee‑for‑service contracting and negotiations with physicians and ancillary providers.</li><li>Support the development and management of value‑based provider relationships.</li><li>Build and maintain strong provider partnerships aligned with local market strategy.</li><li>Initiate and maintain effective communication with matrix partners, including Claims Operations, Medical Management, Credentialing, Legal, Medical Economics, Compliance, Sales, Marketing, and Service.</li><li>Support strategic provider contracting initiatives and assist in network development, identifying opportunities to enhance value.</li><li>Contribute to alternative network initiatives and support associated analytics.</li><li>Work to meet unit cost targets while maintaining an adequate provider network to support Cigna’s competitive position.</li><li>Support initiatives that improve total medical cost and quality outcomes.</li><li>Drive change with external provider partners through consultative expertise focused on total medical cost initiatives.</li><li>Prepare, analyze, review, and project the financial impact of provider contracts and alternative contract terms.</li><li>Create Healthcare Provider (HCP) agreements that meet internal operational standards and provider expectations; ensure accurate implementation and administration through matrix partners.</li><li>Assist in resolving provider service complaints by researching issues and coordinating with internal and external partners to resolve escalations.</li><li>Manage provider relationships and serve as a key point of contact for providers and internal business partners.</li><li>Maintain knowledge of providers within the assigned geographic area, including competitive and market dynamics.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely contract loading, submissions, and coordination with matrix partners for network implementation and maintenance.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><h3>Position Requirements</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in Finance, Economics, Healthcare, or a related business field; equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.</li><li><b>1+ years</b> of healthcare provider contracting and negotiation experience (physician and/or ancillary groups) required.</li><li><b>1+ years</b> of provider servicing or provider relations experience strongly preferred.</li><li>Proven experience developing and managing professional relationships.</li><li>Understanding of managed care and provider business models preferred.</li><li>Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, matrix environment.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering formal presentations.</li><li>Customer‑focused with strong interpersonal skills.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to adapt in a changing environment.</li><li>Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, negotiation, contract interpretation, and financial analysis skills.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools required.</li></ul></div><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><br /><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Qualified applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, age, disability, sex, childbirth (including pregnancy) or related medical conditions including but not limited to lactation, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran or military status, religion, national origin, ancestry, marital or familial status, genetic information, status with regard to public assistance, citizenship status or any other characteristic protected by applicable equal employment opportunity laws.<p style="text-align:left"><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>Please note that you must meet our posting guidelines to be eligible for consideration.  Policy can be reviewed at this </span></span></span></span></span></span></span><a href="https://iris.cigna.com/career_benefits/empowered/career_opportunities" target="_blank">link</a><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>.</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p></p><p></p><p><span>Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered for employment in a manner </span><span>consistent with all federal, state and local ordinances.</span></p>
