About the role:
Justteachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bradford. This is a full-time position starting in September, offering an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
The successful candidate will initially work through justteachers for a 12-week period before becoming a permanent member of staff with the school, subject to a successful placement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and raise attainment.
- Provide targeted support for pupils with varying learning needs.
- Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom preparation, displays and learning resources.
- Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural development.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil participation.
Pre-requisites:
- Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery or educational setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- A proactive, patient and adaptable approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable
- Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3).
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
- Knowledge of the UK primary curriculum.
- First Aid qualification.
