A Day In The Life Applying masking tape and or caps to protect parts and components that are not to be coated. Applying wet coat surfaces of manufactured products with epoxy and urethane coatings. Adjusting valves on spray gun to regulate width and pressure of spray. Pulling trigger and directing spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat. Properly cleaning and maintaining all spray equipment including booth maintenance. Making suggestions to supervisors for improvements associated with assigned work. Following instructions, both written and verbal, from the lead person and production supervisors. Operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Inspecting own work for conformity to standards. What will help you thrive in this role? Ability to utilize basic arithmetic skills Ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and complete tasks in a timely manner. Knowledge of proper usage of safety equipment. Ability to use hand tools (gages, guns, and pumps) required (required) Ability to stand for long periods of time (required)
