About the Role
We are looking for a talented HR Executive to join our HR team who will focus on supporting the people strategy by driving key HR initiatives across employee engagement, performance management, and compliance with local employment laws. The position plays a critical role in fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring fair and consistent HR practices, and partnering with managers to enable effectiveness and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Build a strong people culture by providing on-ground HR support, addressing employee queries, and fostering engagement at the local level
Embed performance management locally and upskill people managers
Support annual processes such as the pay and performance cycle
Manage local statutory requirements and investigations
Promote and localize group initiatives around wellbeing and DEI (e.g., First Nations)
Champion L&D efforts within the branch.
Facilitate assimilation of new joiners, ensuring smooth onboarding and cultural integration
Drive local Reward & Recognition (R&R) initiatives to foster engagement and motivation
Support localized talent acquisition activities where needed
Lead people change initiatives under appropriate guidance
About You
Essential:
In-depth knowledge of Australian labour laws, statutory requirements, and compliance practices
Strong understanding of core HR functions including performance management, employee engagement, onboarding, and talent acquisition
Familiarity with HRIS platforms and digital tools for performance, learning, and engagement.
Ability to manage HR processes, annual cycles and initiatives with attention to timelines with accuracy
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, especially in handling investigations and sensitive matters
Open to flexing working hours on 1-2 days per month to support meetings with global stakeholders in other time zone
Desirable:
Experience in designing and implementing reward and recognition frameworks.
Experience in driving diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, especially in a local context.
Benefits:
20 hours per week split across Tuesday to Thursday (flexible on start / finish time)
