Job Title: Families First Social Worker (Permanent) Agency: Service Care Solutions Location: Trafford Town Hall Contract: Permanent Salary: £37,280 – £42,839 per annum Job Overview Service Care Solutions are recruiting permanent Families First Social Workers to join a Local Authority Families First service based at Trafford Town Hall . This is a stable, long-term opportunity for experienced practitioners who are committed to high-quality, relationship-based practice with children and families. The Families First team supports children and families at an early stage, reducing risk and preventing escalation through effective assessment, intervention, and multi-agency working. Key Responsibilities Undertake assessments with children and families in line with statutory duties Work with families to identify strengths, risks, and support needs Develop and review child-focused plans to promote positive outcomes Carry out direct work with children, young people, and families Support families through early intervention and preventative services Work collaboratively with partner agencies including Health, Education, and Early Help Safeguard children at risk in line with legislation and local procedures Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records Participate in supervision, team meetings, and professional development Essential Requirements Qualified Social Worker Registered with Social Work England Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified experience working permanently within a Local Authority Experience working in Children and Families or Early Help services Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance Strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work within a multi-agency environment Enhanced DBS Why Apply Competitive permanent salary Opportunity to work within a supportive Families First service Career stability within a Local Authority setting Ongoing training, supervision, and development opportunities To apply or for more information, please email: andrew.wiles@servicecare.org.uk
