  • Lead conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling activities across enterprise domains.
  • Establish and maintain data modeling standards, naming conventions, versioning practices, and modeling governance frameworks.
  • Define domain boundaries, core business entities, master and reference data structures, and authoritative systems for each subject area.
  • Develop and maintain mappings between data models, data products, APIs, and Operational Data Store (ODS) structures.
  • Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards to obtain approvals for data definitions, business rules, and change management processes.
  • Contribute to data governance forums, review boards, and governance cadences.
  • Ensure business glossary completeness and end-to-end data lineage documentation using Dataplex and Data Catalog standards.
  • Apply CIAA-based data classification (Confidentiality, Integrity, Accountability, and Availability) at the attribute level and identify PII and sensitive data elements.
  • Define data masking, pseudonymization, and role-based access requirements for production and non-production environments.
  • Incorporate data-sharing principles, governance policies, and data contract requirements into data model deliverables.
  • Design and optimize BigQuery physical data models, including partitioning strategies, clustering keys, constraints, and table/view design to support near real-time ODS requirements.
  • Collaborate with platform teams to align with Dataplex and Data Catalog standards for domains, zones, metadata management, and data discovery.
  • Translate business requirements into data quality rules, validation checks, acceptance criteria, and observability measures across source and ELT layers.
  • Contribute to data quality backlogs, monitoring dashboards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Design reusable and governed data products with clearly defined SLAs, SLOs, service boundaries, and data contracts.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enable standardized APIs and data product consumption.
  • Facilitate data modeling workshops, steward reviews, architecture discussions, and cross-domain design sessions.
  • Document architectural decisions, data governance outcomes, and traceability throughout the data lifecycle.
