Job Title: Temporary Painter & Decorator (Modern & Heritage Buildings)
Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Duration: Temporary Assignment – Starting End of July
Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
(Unpaid 1-hour lunch break)

We are seeking skilled and reliable Painter & Decorators to join our client's team on a temporary basis from the end of July. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of prestigious buildings, carrying out both restoration and decorating works to the highest standards.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling, cleaning, and priming.
- Applying a wide range of finishes including emulsions, gloss paints, varnishes, and specialist coatings.
- Carrying out internal and external painting and decorating works.
- Wallpapering and applying decorative wall finishes where required.
- Working on both modern and heritage buildings, ensuring high standards of workmanship throughout.
- Assisting with restoration and redecoration projects on listed and historic properties.
- Maintaining safe, clean, and organised working areas.
- Working independently and alongside other trades and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Painter & Decorator is essential.
- NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds qualification, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Experience working on a variety of surfaces including plaster, wood, masonry, and metal.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and finishes.
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience working on heritage or listed buildings would be advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
