Family Solicitor (2+ PQE) 

Private Family | Divorce & Finance | Hybrid Working

A well-established and highly regarded law firm in Lancashire is seeking an ambitious Family Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE to join its growing team on a permanent basis.

The Role

This is a full-time position handling a varied caseload of both privately and publicly funded family matters. The successful candidate will manage cases from initial instruction through to conclusion, including advocacy where appropriate.

The caseload will focus primarily on:

• Private family matters
• Divorce proceedings
• Financial remedy and finance matters
• Family disputes and related proceedings

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of family law matters independently
• Advising clients on funding options and assessing financial eligibility
• Instructing and liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties
• Representing clients in court and conducting advocacy where appropriate
• Providing clear, compassionate advice to often vulnerable clients
• Ensuring compliance with Lexcel and SRA standards

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years’ PQE as a Family Solicitor
• Strong knowledge of family law, particularly divorce and financial matters
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative confidently
• Experience supporting vulnerable or sensitive clients
• Strong organisational, time management, and case management skills
