Operational Support Officer (Temporary, Full-Time) - Liverpool
Our Client, a reputable government organisation, is hiring for a dedicated Operational Support Officer to join their team in Liverpool. This is a full-time, temporary role initially for three months, with the potential for extension. Working hours are 37 per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays. The pay rate starts at £12.86 per hour, increasing to £13.25 after 12 weeks.
What you'll be doing:
* Providing excellent customer service by handling all administrative tasks related to hearings, including preparation and follow-up.
* Engaging with users and stakeholders face-to-face, via telephone (incoming and outbound), and through written correspondence, offering clear guidance and signposting to support services.
* Using HMCTS service scripts and knowledge articles to direct users accurately, ensuring they receive relevant information.
* Supporting users through complaints procedures, offering immediate assistance to prevent escalation, and updating case management systems.
* Identifying risks related to HMCTS buildings and informing the Senior Person on Site as needed.
* Processing work according to standard operating procedures to meet performance targets.
* Managing case files with accurate data entry, secure information handling, and compliance with data retention policies.
* Handling jury service tasks, including scheduling, deferrals, and expense processing.
* Assisting with court listing and scheduling, ensuring judicial time is optimised.
* Providing judicial support such as diary management and administrative assistance.
* Supporting enforcement activities, including financial assessments and report generation.
* Contributing to health and safety operations, including facility checks and safety governance.
What you'll bring:
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to follow procedures and handle sensitive information securely.
* Flexibility to adapt to varied tasks and occasional weekend work.
* Experience in administrative or operational support roles is desirable.
* Knowledge of court or legal processes is advantageous.
