As an integral part of our client’s commercial strategy team, you will lead sourcing initiatives, manage multi-million-dollar contracts, and collaborate across departments to optimize procurement processes. Your expertise will shape the business’s growth trajectory and ensure compliance with contractual and operational standards.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Proven contract analysis, drafting, and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication abilities—clear, concise, and impactful
• Highly organized with strong time management and attention to detail
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with SAP, Ariba, Oracle, Spotfire is a plus
• Ability to work independently; demonstrate sound judgment and decisiveness
• Adaptable to change and capable of guiding others through transformation
• Experience managing contracts via Ariba and SAP platforms

Nice to Have Skills:

• Knowledge of procurement principles, theories, and processes
• Experience with vendor evaluation, prequalification, and bidding processes
• Familiarity with legal aspects of contracts and NDAs
• Strong vendor relationship management and conflict resolution skills

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• Previous experience in commercial sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles
• Experience with SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement systems

Other Requirements:

• Location: Houston, TX (Greenway 5) – hybrid schedule (9/80, Tuesday-Thursday in office)
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including Legal, Audit, HES, Accounts Payable, and vendors
• Must be comfortable managing contract lifecycle, issuing POs, and troubleshooting invoicing issues
• No specific travel requirements, but flexibility for occasional meetings or vendor visits is a plus
