About the role: Justteachers are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Great Yarmouth that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team on a part-time, fixed-term basis from September until Christmas. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed teacher who is dedicated to delivering high-quality mathematics lessons and inspiring students to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ confidence, resilience, and problem-solving skills. This role would suit an adaptable, reflective, and enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive and dedicated department. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all students feel motivated to achieve. Assess, monitor, and record student progress, using assessment data to inform planning and intervention. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners, including students with SEND where appropriate. Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations in line with the school’s behaviour policy. Inspire students to develop confidence and enjoyment in Mathematics through creative and effective teaching. Provide constructive feedback to support students’ academic progress and personal development. Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department to plan and deliver a high-quality curriculum. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to support student achievement and wellbeing. Contribute to departmental meetings, professional development, and wider school activities where appropriate. Promote safeguarding and the welfare of all students at all times. Uphold the school’s values and commitment to providing an outstanding education for every learner. Pre-requisites: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Previous experience teaching Mathematics within a UK secondary school is desirable. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. A passionate, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning. The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families. Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Two recent education-based references.
