Press Brake Operator

Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of commercial sheet metal products and equipment, has an immediate need for an experienced Press Brake Operator, to join their winning team in Newark. Our candidate of choice will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to specifications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine specifications Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job Load and unload sheet metal into the machine Adjust machine settings for different material thicknesses and angles Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of bends Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal condition Inspect finished products for quality compliance Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area   KEY REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role Proficient in operating press brake machines and related tools Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques Familiarity with CNC programming and GD&T principles Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections Basic math skills for measurements and calculations Ability to use hand tools and equipment such as cranes, lathes, plasma cutters, etc. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
