We are supporting a well-established organisation in Herefordshire who are looking for a Systems Engineer to join their internal IT and Systems team. This is a key role focused on maintaining and improving the systems that support day-to-day operations across the business.
The ideal candidate will have strong SQL experience and be confident working with the databases and applications that underpin core business processes.
Maintain and support the systems used across the organisation.
Work with SQL to read, write, and modify queries, stored procedures, and related objects.
Assist with SQL Server tasks including backups, restores, and maintenance plans.
Investigate and resolve system or data issues in a structured and logical manner.
Support ongoing improvements to internal systems and contribute to stability and performance.
Strong SQL experience is essential.
Understanding of SQL Server environments (backups, restores, maintenance).
Ability to troubleshoot system and data issues.
Experience supporting business-critical systems.
£40,000 to £45,000 salary depending on experience.
