About the Role

About the role:

justteachers are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teacher position within a specialist secondary provision in the Lincoln area, starting in September on a supply basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher looking to work within a specialist educational setting that supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, learning difficulties, communication needs, and associated behavioural needs.
The provision offers a structured and supportive learning environment, with education tailored to individual EHCP outcomes. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, promoting pupil progress, and helping young people achieve positive academic and personal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering adapted lessons to meet a range of SEN needs
Creating a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment
Implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies
Supporting pupils’ communication, independence and engagement in learning
Using effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive outcomes
Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress and attainment
Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists and wider support teams
Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare
Contributing to the wider educational and personal development of pupils

Pre-requisites:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching within primary, secondary or SEN settings
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
An understanding of differentiated teaching and personalised learning approaches
Confidence supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential

As part of our safeguarding and compliance process, we require a minimum of two professional references covering the last two years in full, along with an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
