School Custodian

Ōnin Staffing is currently seeking a professional and dedicated School Janitor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment for students and staff. A strong focus will be placed on floor buffing, stripping, and upkeep of school floors, in addition to routine janitorial tasks. - 2nd shift: 12:30pm-8:30pm - Pay Rate: $11/hr - Weekly pay - Affordable health insurance you can actually use, including $5 copays, $5 prescriptions, and free Telehealth services. Responsibilities: - Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming classrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas. - Carry out floor care duties such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and maintaining floors to ensure they remain safe and presentable. - Empty and clean trash receptacles, ensuring proper waste disposal. - Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed. - Maintain cleanliness of windows, doors, and other surfaces. - Report any maintenance or repair needs to appropriate personnel. - Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while performing tasks. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work, with specific knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment. - Ability to work independently and efficiently. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Physical stamina to handle job demands, including lifting and standing for extended periods. - Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends if required.
