Join a team that values integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</p> <p>Title: Property Accountant<br /> Location: Chicago, IL<br /> Potential Compensation: $90,000 to $115,000</p> <p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to manage the financial operations of our residential property portfolio. </p> <p>About our Client:<br /> • Competitive salary and performance bonuses.<br /> • Health, dental, and vision insurance.<br /> • 401(k) with company match.<br /> • Paid time off and holidays.<br /> • Professional development opportunities.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities<br /> • Manage day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of residential properties.<br /> • Prepare monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.<br /> • Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, and general ledger accounts.<br /> • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.<br /> • Monitor and report on property budgets, variances, and forecasts.<br /> • Assist with annual audits and tax preparation.<br /> • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.<br /> • Collaborate with property managers to resolve accounting discrepancies.<br /> • Maintain accurate records in Yardi and AppFolio systems.</p> <p>Qualifications<br /> • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<br /> • 2+ years of similar experience in residential real estate.<br /> • Proficiency in Yardi and AppFolio.<br /> • Strong understanding of GAAP and property management accounting practices.<br /> • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.<br /> • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.<br /> • Experience with Excel and other financial reporting tools.<br /> • CPA or progress toward CPA certification.</p>
