About the Role
A privately owned business based in Liverpool is looking to hire an experienced Credit Control Manager to join its team. This is a well established, high growth business operating in the property and construction sector with a nationwide reach. They have a strong pipeline of schemes and are continually growing, therefore making it an exciting time to join.
This Credit Control Manager role would suit someone who has previously worked in property, ideally with knowledge of leasehold or service charge ledgers. You will look after a high volume portfolio of leasehold accounts, ensuring ground rents and service charge income is collected efficiently, disputed are handled professionally, and legal escalations are progressed effectively.
Day to day, you will look after:
A large portfolio of leasehold accounts across multiple developments
Ensure timely collection of ground rent and service charges
Handle aged debt, disputes and complex payment queries
Issue reminder letters, final notices and pre-legal correspondence
Implement effective recouvery strategies to reduce debtor days
Manage all legal and third-party liaison
Produce regular aged debt and recovery reports for senior management
Provide clear updates and escalation recommendations
Work closely with Block Managers and finance teams to resolve queries
Negotiating payment arrangements where appropriate
We are looking for someone with:
Strong credit management experience within property
Leasehold and service charge experience is important
Confidence with third-party solicitors
Strong reporting skills
Well organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
