<p>Senior Procurement Officer</p>
<p><strong>Location:</strong> London (near Tower Bridge) – hybrid working (1 day per week in office)</p>
<p> <strong>Salary:</strong> £55,000 – £60,000 per annum</p>

<p> We’re looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to take ownership of key indirect spend areas and deliver impactful procurement solutions across a diverse stakeholder landscape.</p>
<p> About the Role </p>
<p>This is a strategic and hands-on procurement position where you’ll lead end-to-end tendering activity and develop category strategies that deliver measurable value. You’ll work across a broad portfolio of indirect spend, with a focus on:</p>
<ul>
<li>Estates & Facilities</li>
<li>Digital / Technology</li>
<li>Workforce</li>
</ul>
<p>You’ll manage procurement projects from initial scoping through to contract award, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations, including the <strong>Procurement Act 2023</strong>.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities</p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and deliver end-to-end procurement exercises using e-tendering systems</li>
<li>Develop and implement category strategies aligned to organisational objectives</li>
<li>Provide expert advice on procurement routes, contract structures, and compliance</li>
<li>Manage supplier relationships and contract performance to drive continuous improvement</li>
<li>Analyse spend and market data to identify savings and value opportunities</li>
<li>Engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders</li>
<li>Line manage 1-2 team members, supporting their development and performance</li>
<li>Ensure all procurement activity is compliant, transparent, and delivers best value</li>
</ul>
<p>About You </p>
<p>You’ll be a commercially minded procurement professional with the confidence to operate independently and influence at all levels.<br /> We’re particularly interested in candidates who bring:</p>
<ul>
<li>Strong experience in public sector procurement</li>
<li>Up-to-date knowledge of procurement legislation (including the Procurement Act 2023)</li>
<li>Proven experience delivering tenders independently via e-procurement systems</li>
<li>Experience in one or more of the following categories: Estates & Facilities, Digital, or Workforce</li>
<li>Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills</li>
<li>Experience managing or mentoring staff</li>
</ul>
<p>A <strong>CIPS qualification</strong> (or working towards Chartered status) is highly desirable.</p>
