About the Role
Are you a passionate Maths Teacher ready to take on a leadership role? A vibrant school in Essex is looking for a Teacher of Maths – Key Stage 3 Coordinator to join their team in September 2025.
This is a full-time, permanent position that includes a TLR2B allowance, reflecting the added responsibility of leading the Key Stage 3 Maths provision. You’ll shape the vision and direction of the KS3 curriculum, ensuring that students build a strong mathematical foundation and are well-prepared for future success.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality Maths teaching across KS3 and KS4
Lead on the design, delivery, and development of the KS3 Maths curriculum
Monitor student progress and implement effective interventions
Support and mentor colleagues teaching in lower school Maths
Collaborate with the Head of Department and SLT on strategic priorities
Promote positive attitudes towards Maths across the school community
Contribute to school life through clubs, events, and professional learning
Qualifications and Experience
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4
A track record of improving outcomes for students
Leadership potential or previous responsibility experience
Excellent subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
Strong organisational, communication, and team-working skills
Ambition to make a difference and inspire young learners
