<p>A well-equipped small animal practice in North West London is seeking a confident Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join the team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.</p>
<p>This is a part-time role (3 days per week) offering the opportunity to lead clinical standards in a supportive, well-structured environment with experienced nursing support and access to a nearby 24-hour hospital.</p>
<p>This position would suit an experienced vet comfortable with sole charge who enjoys building client relationships and delivering high-quality first opinion care.</p>

<h3><em><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></em></h3>
<ul>
<li>Deliver high-quality consultations and routine surgical procedures
<li>Take clinical leadership within the practice
<li>Work confidently in a sole charge setting
<li>Collaborate with an experienced RVN and Veterinary Care Assistant
<li>Maintain excellent clinical and client care standards
<li>Liaise with the nearby 24-hour hospital for referrals and additional support
</ul>

<li>12-month maternity cover contract
<li>Part-time: 3 days per week
<li>Salary up to £60,000 FTE (pro rata)
<li>1 in 3 Sundays rota
<li>Only 2 weeks of on-call per year
<li>Sole charge role with experienced on-site support
</ul>

<h3><em><strong>Candidate Requirements</strong></em></h3>
<ul>
<li>RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
<li>Confident with routine surgery and consultations
<li>Comfortable working sole charge
<li>Strong communication and leadership skills
<li>Previous experience in a lead or senior role preferred
</ul>
