Quality Assurance Technologist | Food Manufacturing | PeterboroughLocation: PeterboroughShifts: 06:00–14:30 & 09:00–18:00, Monday to FridayBenefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays + 10% matched pensionIf you like your Quality roles hands-on, varied and close to the factory floor, this one should be right up your street.You’ll be joining a rapidly transforming and expanding food manufacturer at a really interesting point in its journey. There’s plenty changing across the site, with investment, new ways of working and a real focus on strengthening quality and operational standards as the business grows.Working as part of the site Quality team, you’ll have plenty of variety. You’ll carry out GMP, hygiene, fabrication and foreign body inspections, review production records, test raw materials and finished products and manage daily product release. When something isn’t right, you’ll get involved in investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions rather than simply recording the problem.You’ll also support environmental monitoring, allergen validation, product sampling, customer testing and taste panels, while using quality data and KPIs to spot trends and opportunities for improvement. It’s a role that gets you out into the factory, working closely with Production, Hygiene, Supply Chain and Technical to keep standards moving in the right direction.To succeed, you’ll need experience within Quality or Technical in a food manufacturing environment, with a good understanding of food safety and Quality Management Systems. Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP Level 3 are required, while knowledge of BRCGS, TACCP and ISO 22000 would be a real advantage.
