About the Role
<p>Our partner, a reputable multidisciplinary engineering and infrastructure consulting organization, is in need of a <strong>Lead Civil Engineer / Senior Project Manager</strong> to oversee and manage transportation and transit initiatives across the Pacific Northwest region. This presents an exceptional opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer with expertise in project management, client interaction, and transportation design.</p>
<p>Renowned for their cooperative environment, technical proficiency, and dedication to delivering meaningful projects for both public and private clientele, the preferred candidate will possess skills in handling intricate transit and public works projects while heading diverse teams and aiding in business development efforts. Previous involvement with transit entities like <strong>Sound Transit, King County Metro, or Pierce Transit</strong> would be advantageous.</p>
<h3>Project Leadership & Execution</h3>
<ul>
<li>Assume the role of Senior Project Manager for varied transportation and transit projects.</li>
<li>Lead projects from inception through completion, including design, construction oversight, and project closure.</li>
<li>Supervise project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, quality, and client expectations.</li>
<li>Create and manage project work plans, risk management strategies, schedules, and quality assurance protocols.</li>
<li>Track project performance metrics, finances, invoicing, and accounts receivable activities.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Technical Engineering Duties</h3>
<ul>
<li>Direct civil engineering design tasks and the development of construction blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.</li>
<li>Oversee design production using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.</li>
<li>Coordinate with technical teams and external consultants to guarantee successful project implementation.</li>
<li>Offer oversight during construction supervision and address technical concerns related to projects.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Client Relations & Business Growth</h3>
<ul>
<li>Establish and nurture strong relationships with transportation agencies and public works clients.</li>
<li>Lead the preparation of proposals, including scopes, schedules, budgets, presentations, and pursuit strategies.</li>
<li>Engage in marketing and business development endeavors to assist growth goals and client expansion.</li>
<li>Support office leadership activities, including strategic planning, recruitment, staff planning, and team enhancement.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Leadership & Guidance</h3>
<ul>
<li>Guide and mentor junior engineers, project managers, and technical personnel.</li>
<li>Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional improvement among project teams.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with quality standards, company procedures, and best practices in project execution.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).</li>
<li>Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State.</li>
<li>At least 10 years of experience in transportation or civil infrastructure engineering.</li>
<li>Demonstrated track record managing transportation projects for transit or public agency clients.</li>
<li>Strong background in:
