Are you passionate about supporting young people who need guidance, structure, and encouragement to thrive?We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Pastoral Worker to join a supportive Alternative Provision setting in Chapel-en-le-Frith. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students who require additional emotional and behavioural support.The RoleAs a Pastoral Worker, you will play a key role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. You will help promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, engagement in learning, and personal development.Your responsibilities will include:Building positive and trusting relationships with studentsSupporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needsManaging behaviour in a calm and consistent mannerProviding mentoring and pastoral support on a 1:1 and small group basisWorking closely with teachers, safeguarding leads, and external agenciesEncouraging attendance, engagement, and confidenceThe Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who is:Passionate about supporting vulnerable young peopleCalm, resilient, and adaptableExperienced in pastoral, youth work, behaviour support, mentoring, or education settingsAble to build strong professional relationshipsConfident managing challenging behaviour positivelyExperience within Alternative Provision, SEMH, youth work, care, or mentoring is highly desirable, but transferable experience will also be considered.What Tradewind OffersCompetitive daily ratesOngoing CPD and training opportunitiesDedicated consultant supportOpportunity to secure a permanent positionA rewarding role where no two days are the same
