About the Role
Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care Location: Burlington, NC Pay Rate: $67.00/hour Schedule: 32.5–40 hours per week, including every other weekend Contract Position Join a leading healthcare organization providing high-quality, evidence-based primary care in a retail clinic setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner who enjoys working independently while collaborating with a dedicated clinical care team to improve patient outcomes. Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care Responsibilities Provide comprehensive primary and family care, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management. Perform wellness visits, preventive care, chronic disease management, health screenings, and patient education. Conduct routine examinations and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals. Complete administrative duties including clinic opening/closing, inventory management, insurance verification, payment collection, patient follow-up, and maintaining a clean clinical environment. Promote healthy lifestyle choices and engage patients in their long-term healthcare plans. Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care Required Qualifications Current Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain prior to start). Master's Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program. Current National Board Certification. Minimum of 1 year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, or Urgent Care. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills. Comfortable working independently in a collaborative care environment. Proficient with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems. Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure if needed. Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care Required for Submission To be considered, candidates must provide: Current NP license (in good standing) BLS certification (AHA or ARC only) Screenshot of current license and BLS certification Completed candidate questionnaire including: NP license status NPI number Years of primary care experience EMR/EHR systems used Planned time off Availability to interview Earliest start date Important Notes Primary Care or Urgent Care experience is required. Candidates without this experience cannot be considered. This is a patient-facing, safety-sensitive position. DEA registration may be required during onboarding. Position includes every other weekend and possible holiday rotations.
