Continuous Improvement Engineer

Ledbury | Permanent | £50,000-£55,000

Are you an engineer who enjoys a challenge and delivering measurable improvements?

We're looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to take ownership of cost reduction, value engineering and product improvement initiatives within a growing manufacturing environment. This is an opportunity to work cross-functionally, influence key decisions and deliver projects that improve product performance, profitability and long-term competitiveness.

You'll play a pivotal role in identifying improvement opportunities, driving projects forward and collaborating with Production, Procurement, Technical and Commercial teams to deliver real business results.

Key Responsibilities of a CI Engineer

  • Lead continuous improvement, value engineering and cost reduction projects.
  • Identify opportunities for product improvement, standardisation and simplification.
  • Improve manufacturability, product performance and product margins.
  • Work with suppliers, procurement and technical teams to identify alternative materials and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support design changes, validation activities and engineering improvements.
  • Manage engineering projects from concept through to implementation.
  • Monitor and report savings, business benefits and project performance.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a Continuous Improvement Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Value Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence and process improvement methodologies.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable cost, quality or performance improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
