Revenue Assistant

The opportunity

An international law firm is seeking an Revenue Assistant to join its Finance Department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, approachable.

Key responsibilities

The Revenue Assistant will play an important role in supporting accurate billing, effective credit control and excellent client service across the firm. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • processing a high volume of invoices each month in line with established procedures, ensuring they are accurate, compliant and sent to clients promptly;
  • supporting the debt collection process in accordance with the firm's credit control procedures;
  • resolving client billing and payment queries within appropriate timeframes, escalating matters to fee earners, revenue controllers or management where required;
  • providing day-to-day support to the revenue controllers and keeping the revenue coordinator and head of revenue informed of issues, risks and concerns.
  • responding to requests from practice teams efficiently, professionally and to a consistently high standard;
  • recording all relevant information relating to unpaid invoices in the firm's debt collection system so that partners and fee earners have accurate and up-to-date visibility.

Skills and experience

Experience

  • experience as a Revenue Assistant within a professional services environment
  • competence in Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience of legal systems would be helpful but is not essential

Skills and attributes

  • excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with confidence liaising with clients, partners, fee earners, secretaries and finance colleagues.
  • collaborative and supportive approach, with the ability to follow instructions carefully and ask questions where clarification is needed
  • clear commitment to delivering a high standard of service to internal and external stakeholders.
