Assembly Team Lead Location: Clemmons, NC Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Manufacturing / Assembly Operations Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Assembly Team Lead to oversee multiple production lines and help drive operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for coordinating workflow, coaching team members, maintaining quality standards, improving productivity, monitoring performance metrics, and supporting daily production goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, manufacturing experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles. Key Responsibilities Production Leadership & Team Development Lead and support multiple assembly production lines Coach, train, and develop assembly employees and lead personnel Identify employee strengths and assign tasks to maximize productivity Motivate team members to achieve and exceed production goals Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and other departments Direct production activities during supervisor absences Quality & Process Control Audit Bills of Materials (BOMs), parts, and production processes for accuracy Ensure products meet established quality requirements and specifications Conduct quality audits, ratio checks, tester checks, and maintain required documentation Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through proper system transactions Follow standardized work instructions and one-piece flow manufacturing processes Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Utilize SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) boards to manage production performance Track schedule attainment and hour-by-hour production metrics Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to implement efficiency improvements Support lean manufacturing initiatives and sustainment efforts Qualifications Required Skills Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production leadership experience Strong coaching and employee development skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Strong understanding of production processes and quality standards Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Ability to use hand tools, measuring devices, and production equipment safely Ability to solve mathematical calculations and work with percentages Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus Physical Requirements Must be able to perform all jobs on the production line Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Ability to operate walkie stackers and production equipment Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses and safety shoes Why Join Our Client?
