Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate production equipment according to work orders, specification cards, and established procedures.
- Review production documentation and verify materials, tooling, and machine settings before each job.
- Load materials, adhesives, and tooling; adjust machine settings to ensure proper alignment, tension, speed, and product quality.
- Monitor machine performance throughout production, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect products to verify they meet specifications, tolerances, and quality standards, retaining required first and last article samples.
- Complete required production records, quality inspections, and end-of-run documentation accurately.
- Ensure the correct materials, lot information, and production records are maintained in accordance with company procedures.
- Package finished products using the appropriate materials and labeling.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, basic preventive maintenance, and minor adjustments; report equipment issues requiring major repair.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout each shift.
- Collaborate with supervisors, sales, estimating, and other departments on product trials and process improvements.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Update production documentation, including specification cards, when approved process changes are implemented.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED
- Manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred Reliable and detail-oriented
- Must pass drug screen and background check
