About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) Team in Rochdale. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people, providing support and guidance to those in need. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children in care.
As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and young people in care.
Building strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to promote their well-being.
Providing support and advocacy for children, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
Monitoring and reviewing care plans and placements, making recommendations for changes as necessary.
Participating in multi-agency meetings and court proceedings as required.
The ideal candidate will have the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
Registration with Social Work England.
Experience working with children and families, particularly in a CIC setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
