<p>A leading educational and residential program is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team. This is a unique opportunity to provide both direct therapy and consultative support to students across school and residential environments. <p>Title: Occupational Therapist – School & Residential Setting<br />
Location: Rochester, NY Area<br />
Salary: $65,000 to $75,000<br />
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>
<p>Deliver individual and group occupational therapy sessions in accordance with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).<br />
Conduct formal assessments and observational evaluations across educational and residential settings.<br />
Collaborate closely with educators, clinicians, residential staff, and families to support skill development and therapeutic carryover throughout the day.<br />
Create individualized treatment plans and set measurable goals.<br />
Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to direct care and educational staff to ensure consistency of therapeutic approaches.<br />
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, including IEP, CSE, and residential planning sessions.<br />
Support family education and training to enhance at-home reinforcement of therapeutic strategies.<br />
Maintain detailed documentation, progress notes, and compliance with agency and regulatory standards.<br />
Contribute to team-based evaluations and assist in determining ongoing eligibility for services.</p>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<p>Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.<br />
Active and valid New York State Occupational Therapy License.<br />
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in pediatric, school-based, or residential OT settings (strongly preferred).<br />
Ability to function as an active member of a multidisciplinary team.<br />
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.<br />
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.<br />
