This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious Family & Matrimonial Solicitor to step into an existing caseload and shape the future of a growing department within a well-established, friendly Northwich firm.

Due to an upcoming Partner retirement, the firm is looking for a confident solicitor to take over a strong pipeline of matrimonial and private family work, with full support to develop and lead the department moving forward.

You won’t be starting from scratch. You’ll inherit an active, good-quality caseload, alongside the autonomy and backing to:

• Build and grow the Family/Matrimonial offering
• Develop your own client base within an already trusted local brand
• Play a key role in shaping the team’s direction and future strategy
• Progress towards a clear Partnership pathway

The Role

• Managing a varied caseload of divorce, financial remedy, and private family matters
• Handling negotiations and settlements on matrimonial finances
• Supporting clients through sensitive proceedings with a high level of care
• Opportunity to expand into private children work, if desired
• Contributing to the growth and visibility of the department locally

About You

• 4+ PQE in Family/Matrimonial Law
• Confident running your own caseload independently
• Commercially aware, with an interest in building and developing a practice area
• Strong interpersonal skills suited to a client-focused, community-driven firm
• Ideally looking for a long-term move with progression to Partnership
