About the Role
TIG Welder/FabricatorLocation: Austin/Cedar Park, TX Pay Rate: $25–$28 per hour (Depending on Experience) Shift: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM–3:00 PM (includes overtime) TMD Staffing is currently hiring experienced TIG Welders/Fabricators for a great opportunity in the Austin/Cedar Park area. We are looking for skilled candidates with 2+ years of welding experience who can produce quality fabricated components while meeting safety and production standards. Job ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and work instructions.Perform TIG (GTAW) welding, fit-up, tack welding, grinding, and finishing operations.Fabricate and assemble carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.Weld thin-gauge sheet metal and fabricated assemblies.Perform spot welding, stud welding, and robotic welding operations as needed.Install hardware including PEM fasteners, rivet nuts, inserts, and studs.Perform drilling, tapping, countersinking, and secondary fabrication tasks.Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy.Complete production documentation and work order transactions.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.Perform equipment inspections and support preventive maintenance activities.Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Qualifications2+ years of welding experience required.TIG (GTAW) welding experience required.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.Experience with sheet metal fabrication and assembly.Ability to perform welding, fabrication, grinding, and finishing operations.Manufacturing experience preferred.Robotic welding, spot welding, stud welding, and overhead crane experience are a plus.Why Apply?Competitive pay: $25–$28/hour DOEConsistent day shift scheduleMonday–Friday with weekends offOpportunity to work with a respected manufacturing teamApply Today!TMD Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
