Graduate Electrical Design Engineer

You’ll work on a wide range of projects from designing and programming automated machinery to supporting equipment commissioning and client installations while gaining exposure to cutting-edge technology and international projects. What You’ll Do Assist in designing electrical and control systems for automated manufacturing processes. Develop drawings, specifications, and software concepts under the guidance of senior engineers. Support project delivery from concept to commissioning, learning how to apply engineering principles in practice. Gain experience with PLC programming and control system software, including Siemens TIA Portal (training provided if needed). Work closely with colleagues, suppliers, and clients, helping to solve technical challenges. Learn to maintain compliance with health and safety standards and keep accurate project documentation. What We’re Looking For A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Control Systems Engineering. Some experience with PLCs, programming, or automation is a plus but not essential – enthusiasm and willingness to learn matter most. Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team. Organised, detail-oriented, and eager to take on new challenges. Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally (passport and driving licence required).
