About the Role
HGV Class 2 Driver. Better described as Driver / Engineer. Bracknell.
Do you think you can do more than just drive a lorry and deliver boxes? Then why not learn to be a Driver / Engineer!!! Full training given.
Brief temp to perm period, than you would be given a permanent contract.
Driver Hire is recruiting to fill a varied and interesting role for a Cat C driver that is so much more than just sitting behind a wheel all day. You would be working for an IT service company that specialises in relocating the servers and racking from data centres for major on-line retailers and the like. You will be taught basic engineering to demount the equipment, pack it all safely in boxes, dismantle the racking and then load it all onto your Cat C lorry.
The equipment will then be relocated and set up again in a new data centre, or placed in storage until needed again.
The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, an appetite for learning new skills and will have strong communication and customer service skills. Most days the driver will be supported by a driver’s mate.
You need to be physically fit because there is some hand-balling involved and the use of pump trucks to move pallets of racking.
You will already have an HGV Class 2 experience.
They are a professional, friendly team and this is a really exciting opportunity to join an expanding business. They are offering a very competitive salary depending on experience. There is overtime available if you would like it. Our client’s head office is in Farnborough and sometimes you will be working from here. But generally, you will be working from the depot in Bracknell.
