Steel Fabricator/Plater

Location: On-site Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Pay Rate: £15.00 – £17.00 per hour (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Our client, a well-established and reputable engineering and manufacturing company, is currently seeking an experienced Plater / Steel Fabricator to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of high-quality steel components, working from engineering drawings and specifications. The role involves manufacturing a variety of products including structural steelwork, silos, gantries, and staircases. Key Responsibilities Fabrication and assembly of structural steel components Manufacturing silos, gantries, stairs, and general steelwork Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently Welding to a high standard, ensuring quality and accuracy Maintaining health and safety standards at all times Requirements Proven experience as a Plater / Steel Fabricator Ability to work from engineering drawings Competent with hand tools and power tools Welding experience essential Stainless steel fabrication experience is advantageous Welding qualifications desirable but not essential Package & Benefits 39-hour working week with overtime available Weekly pay 26 days holiday plus bank holidays Company-paid healthcare Competitive hourly rate of £15–£17, depending on experience Permanent position with long-term stability This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator or plater seeking a secure role with a respected employer and an immediate start available.
