12m FTC Assistant Accountant

​I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established and ever-growing manufacturing business in the Rotherham area on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic finance team within a business that continues to expand. ​ You will be working within a friendly and supportive team environment, with the opportunity to take on additional responsibility as the business grows. While this role is initially offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, there is potential for the position to be extended. ​ ​ Key Responsibilities Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts. Posting and maintaining accruals and prepayments. Preparing and posting journals. Preparing and calculating customer rebates. Supporting balance sheet reconciliations. Assisting with month-end processes. Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate financial information. Providing general support across the wider finance team. ​ About You Previous experience in a finance or accounting role. Exposure to management accounts processes would be advantageous. Good understanding of accruals, prepayments, and journals. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Confident using Excel and finance systems. Proactive, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. AAT qualified or studying / part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) would be beneficial but not essential. ​ The Opportunity Join a growing manufacturing business with a strong market presence. 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension.
