Position: Demand Planning Business Process Owner - COE
Department: Supply Chain, Global
Work Location: Marlborough, MA, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)

What you will be doing:
For the continuous improvement in Demand Planning and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) across the company, the Demand Planning Business Process Owner is a key member of the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence team. In this role, you will lead the global Demand Planning Center of Excellence and drive the global processes, policies, and practices.
This role serves as the functional expert for transformational capabilities, providing guidance and ensuring the implementation of best-in-class practices, tools, analytics and governance to drive forecast accuracy and enable a data-driven Demand Planning framework. This role reports directly to the Center of Excellence lead and plays a critical role in shaping the company’s overall Supply Chain strategy and transformation agenda.
The Demand Planning Business Process Owner is responsible for defining, governing, and continuously improving the end-to-end demand planning processes within the organization who serves as the single point of accountability for ensuring that demand planning activities are standardized, aligned with business objectives, and are effectively executed across markets, categories, and functions. The position requires strong analytical, collaborative, and leadership skills to drive both operational excellence and long-term growth.
Development and Implementation
Act as the business lead for planning tools (o9, Oracle) optimizing system design, data models, and integration ensuring data quality.
Identify, test, and implement new technologies techniques, and tools to maintain competitive advantage.
Develop and deploy advanced statistical forecasting tools/models to improve forecast accuracy and reduce bias. Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness.
Compliance Monitoring and Governance
Establish global demand planning standards, operating policies, and procedures to ensure consistency, scalability and improvement performance across the global business units.
Ensure organizations and business units are following internal policies to minimize risks using data monitoring tools.
Implementing ongoing maintenance to roles and responsibilities and monitoring controls to ensure security and data governance.
Cross Functional Coordination and Facilitation
Act as a demand planning liaison between business stakeholders to provide leadership, best practices, and support in continuous improvement areas such as automation, AI, or digital transformation.
Partners with cross functional representatives ensure best practices and governance are applied across the organization.
Drives best practice solutions for effective efficiencies with cross functional teams such as Sales, Brand, and Operations to achieve common goals.
Provides strong leadership with clear communication to align different functions, prevent silos, and align strategies.
Performance Governance & Continuous Improvement
Monitor process performance (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias, adherence to cycle timelines) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with the COE Lead to develop the future roadmap, drive maturity assessments, and recommend continuous improvement methodologies.
Offers specialized expertise in demand planning practices to solve complex business problems.
Lead, Train, and Develop Capability
Provide coaching, training, and support to demand planners and business users.
Champion change management efforts to embed new ways of working and tool adoption.
Develop and deliver training programs, ensure process compliance, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration across demand planning teams.
Provides training and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
SOP Development
Own and lead the global digital IBP and Demand Planning strategy, defining a clear roadmap, target operating model, and governance across the company within o9.
Lead the global IBP implementation module and continuous maturity journey, providing data driven decision-making tools for executive alignment.
Success Measures:
Improved forecast accuracy and reduced bias.
Increased process compliance and efficiency across global business units.
Improved adherence to operating policies and standards by all members of the Demand Planning organization
Improved collaboration between Demand Planning teams and functional groups – Products, Brand, Sales
Effective stakeholder alignment in the Demand Review process with cross functional collaboration.
High adoption and proper use of planning systems.
Demonstrated improvements in demand planning continuous improvement activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
7+ years of experience in Demand Planning, S&OP/IBP, or related supply chain functions.
Strong understanding of forecasting methods, demand drivers, and supply chain dynamics.
Direct experience working in APS systems (o9, SAP IBP, Oracle, etc.).
Strong Excel and data analysis skills; comfort with large datasets.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills to align cross-functional teams.
Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to four times a year.
Ability to attend early morning or evening calls with international partners.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
In Massachusetts, the standard base pay range for this role is $111,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to Massachusetts and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
