Nurse Practitioner Float - Compensation
- $74.87 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- 401(k) with company match is available after 1 year of service (on eligibility dates)
Nurse Practitioner Float - Highlights
- Temporary contract assignment (current duration expected to be a year-long assignment based on attendance, performance and business needs)
- Schedule:
- Mon–Fri: 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM
- Sat: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Sun: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Every other weekend required (possible holiday rotations)
- Patient-facing role
- Training: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week for 3 weeks
Nurse Practitioner Float - Responsibilities
- Provide primary and family evidence-based care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of health conditions
- Deliver health counseling and support disposition planning
- Perform clinic administrative duties including opening/closing, inventory, and patient follow-up
- Verify insurance, collect payments, and maintain a clean/organized clinical environment
- Conduct patient appointments and routine exams to support positive health outcomes
- Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
- Encourage patient engagement through health screenings, wellness support, and chronic condition management
Nurse Practitioner Float - Requirements
- Master’s Degree from a Family Nurse Practitioner program
- Current National Board Certification
- Active NP/PA license in good standing (in the state of employment)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Primary Care experience as an NP (family medicine, primary care, or urgent care)
- Current BLS (AHA or ARC) — will be required to provide proof upon offer acceptance
- Must live in Missouri
- Must be able to work every other weekend (and possible holiday rotations)
- High School Diploma/GED (verifiable)
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Nurse Practitioner Float - Preferred Qualifications
- Urgent care experience (in addition to primary care)
- Experience with electronic medical systems (EMR/EMS)
- Strong understanding of quality measures for chronic disease management
- Strong communication, organization, and ability to work autonomously in a team-based care model
- Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure (as needed for float work)
