About the role:
Justteachers are recruiting proactive and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work in a secondary school in Salford. As a Cover Supervisor, you will take charge of classes during teacher absences, ensuring students complete their work, follow school expectations and remain engaged throughout the lesson.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during lessons using work set by the class teacher.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Support pupils to stay focused and complete learning activities.
- Foster a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Report on student progress, behaviour and attendance where required.
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with young people is desirable.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Confident working with secondary-aged students.
- Adaptable, professional, and enthusiastic approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Suitable for graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, sports coaches, tutors, and experienced education professionals.
