About the Role
<p>Frewen College is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school specialising in dyslexia and co occurring Specific Learning Difficulties. We are seeking a <b>motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist</b> to join our thriving Learning Support team from <b>September 2026</b>.</p>
<p>This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in supporting students from <b>Year 7 to Sixth Form</b>, helping them develop the sensory, motor, executive functioning and self regulation skills needed to access learning, build independence and thrive within a supportive boarding school environment.</p>
<p><b>The Role</b></p>
<p>Working closely with teaching staff, boarding teams, parents and external professionals, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assess, plan and deliver individualised and group Occupational Therapy interventions.</li>
<li>Support students’ access to the curriculum through practical strategies and environmental adaptations.</li>
<li>Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s <b>study skills programme</b>, including whole class teaching.</li>
<li>Provide specialist input to <b>EHCPs, annual reviews and therapy reports.</b></li>
<li>Offer advice and training to staff, parents and external partners.</li>
<li>Support admissions, outreach and advisory work as part of the school’s traded portfolio.</li>
<li>Play a full and active role in the wider life of an independent boarding school.</li>
</ul>
<p>The role includes some <b>floor based work and use of therapy equipment</b>, as well as opportunities for outreach, advisory work and professional development.</p>
<p><b>About You</b></p>
<p>You will be:</p>
<ul>
<li>A <b>qualified Occupational Therapist</b> with <b>HCPC registration.</b></li>
<li>Trained in <b>Sensory Integration.</b></li>
<li>Experienced in working with children and young people with <b>dyslexia and co occurring SpLDs.</b></li>
<li>Confident working within a school and multidisciplinary team.</li>
<li>Organised, flexible and an excellent communicator.</li>
<li>Passionate about inclusion, wellbeing and safeguarding.</li>
<li>Experience of advisory work, training delivery and working across multiple settings would be an advantage.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Hours and Conditions:</b></p>
<ul>
<li><b>Term Time:</b> Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week (8:30am – 4:30pm); 4 days a week, day off to be agreed</li>
<li><b>Outside Term Time:</b> 11 days per year (including INSET)</li>
<li>Some flexibility in hours and location may be required to support outreach services</li>
