What to expect

Restaurant Ciel Bleu offers a panoramic view of the city of Amsterdam and has been awarded two Michelin stars. The ultimate Ciel Bleu experience is to exceed guests' expectations in terms of both food and service.

As an Assistant Service Manager you will work closely together with the Service Manager and you are responsible for managing the team when absent. In this role you will work with people all over the world and you will provide excellent service to our guests with your team. You will be working with the finest products and top-quality ingredients, the award-winning wine list being one example. On the one hand, the focus is on training and developing the team to achieve constant improvement. On the other hand, you are the face and point of contact for our guests. Together we go the extra mile everyday, to create a culinary experience of the highest level for our guests. Your main tasks will be:

• Operational work in the restaurant such as receiving guests and providing service at a high level;
• Coaching and developing the team;
• Continuously guaranteeing and improving our excellent service to our guests;
• Ensuring the correct follow-up of requests and comments from guests and colleagues;
• Ensuring optimal cooperation with other departments within the hotel;
• Ensuring the quality standards set by the hotel, in accordance with the standards of Leading Hotels of the World and Michelin.

Don't worry, you will not be working alone! The team you will lead consists of 12 members. Besides working with your team, you will also work closely with other departments in the hotel. Only by working together can we achieve the best results. You work 5 days a week, 7,6 hours a day. You are also available to work on public holidays. Ciel Bleu Restaurant is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 18:30 to 22:30 and can be reserved for lunch upon request.

What do we offer?

• Contract: 1 year, with the possibility of extending. We want you to stay!
• Salary: Group 6. Click here for the salary scale based on a full-time employment
• Bonus: 1 week salary when the hotel reaches the budgeted GOP (Gross Operating Profit) level and you get a minimum total score of successful in your yearend evaluation
• 8% holiday allowance (pro rata)
• 25 days of annual leave (pro rata);

• After obtaining the probationary period, you will receive an overnight stay with breakfast as a gift (2 people), so that you can experience the hotel as a guest
