ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Frontend Engineer will take ownership of key components of the front-end platform, playing a hands-on role in developing performant, scalable applications. The role includes driving coding standards, shaping architecture, collaborating across functions, and mentoring junior engineers.

The platform serves a diverse set of users across multiple domains and requires a thoughtful approach to quality, UX, and maintainability.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and optimize web applications using React and Next.js

• Contribute to front-end architectural decisions and long-term technical direction

• Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions

• Set and uphold standards for clean, reusable, and high-performance code

• Improve performance, responsiveness, and cross-device usability across the platform

• Maintain technical documentation and promote knowledge sharing within the team

• Stay informed on emerging front-end trends and best practices

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams

 

REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years of experience in frontend development, with 4+ years using React

• Deep experience with React and Next.js in production environments

• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and modern web development workflows

• Proven track record building responsive, accessible, and visually polished applications

• Experience with SEO principles and tools such as Google Analytics (GA/GA4)

• Ability to balance design quality with technical feasibility

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset toward technical improvements

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

• Fluent in English

 

WORKING MODEL
Hybrid: 4 days per week in the Lisbon office.
Relocation support available for candidates moving to Portugal.
