Responsibilities:
- Verify routine product conformance to design requirements, drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread gauges to confirm dimensions and tolerances.
- Provide objective evidence of inspection results through accurate documentation and reporting.
- Perform audits, surveillance, and monitoring of products and processes.
- Identify, document, segregate, and control non-conforming materials or products.
- Conduct product reviews with customers during product or process verification.
- Identify repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiate corrective action requests.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of related quality inspection, manufacturing, or product verification experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and thread gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, for documentation and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in manufacturing, aerospace, or a related environment.
- Experience with First Article Inspection / FAI.
- Familiarity with AS9100, quality standards, specifications, and internal inspection requirements.
- Experience with ERP or MES systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Experience using quality management software such as TIPQA.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.
- Experience identifying root causes of defects, analyzing inspection data, and supporting corrective actions.
