About the Role
<p><strong>Head of Finance</strong></p>
<p><strong>Location: Norwich</strong></p>
<p><strong>Sector: Financial Services</strong></p>
<p>A newly created Head of Finance role has arisen within a profitable, scaling financial services business. The company is entering an exciting phase of growth, investment and operational evolution, and requires a high-calibre individual to shape the finance function, strengthen controls and provide genuine commercial insight at board level. There is a clear and realistic progression route to Finance Director / CFO as the organisation continues to grow.</p>
<p><strong>The Role:</strong></p>
<p>Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take full ownership of the finance function across the organisation.</p>
<p>Key responsibilities will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Production of accurate monthly management accounts and performance reporting</li>
<li>Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and forward financial planning</li>
<li>Cashflow and liquidity management</li>
<li>Strengthening internal controls, governance and financial processes</li>
<li>Oversight of statutory accounts and management of the external audit relationship</li>
<li>Supporting funding requirements, capital planning and strategic growth initiatives</li>
<li>Enhancing systems, reporting capability and automation</li>
<li>Leadership and development of two Accounts staff.</li>
<li>Whilst transactional processing is handled within the team, you will need to be comfortable overseeing activity in a busy, data-driven setting.</li>
<li>The organisation is highly technology-focused and is actively exploring automation and AI solutions to improve efficiency and maintain competitive advantage.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About You:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified</li>
<li>Strong background in financial management, reporting and controls</li>
<li>Previous team leadership experience</li>
<li>Preferably experience operating within a fast-paced, transactional environment</li>
<li>Confident leading budgeting, forecasting and cashflow processes</li>
<li>Commercially minded, with the ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders</li>
<li>Excellent Excel and modelling capability; experience with BI/reporting tools is advantageous. Ideally already using LLM’s.</li>
<li>Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central advantageous</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Progression:</strong></p>
<p>There is a clear and realistic pathway to progression into a Finance Director / CFO role as the business continues to grow.</p>
<p>This role would suit an ambitious Head of Finance seeking broader exposure, or a strong number two ready to step into a visible, commercially influential position within a secure and expanding organisation.</p>
