A Legal 500 tier 1 ranked insurance firm are seeking a talented Insurance Solicitor to join a specialist Property Risks & Coverage team focusing on property recoveries work, based in Bolton.
This is a claimant-focused role, handling a caseload of household and commercial property recovery claims arising from a wide range of perils. The caseload will include:
- Fire
- Flood
- Impact damage
- Product liability
- Claims valued at £100k+
This is a technical and client facing role where the successful candidate will contribute to training, mentoring and the delivery of high-quality legal solutions to complex disputes.
As a Property Recoveries Solicitor, you will:
- Conduct initial case review, reporting and consideration of funding.
- Investigate evidential matters to establish cause of action.
- Manage disclosure and review evidence.
- Instruct counsel and expert witnesses.
- Undertake legal research and draft pleadings and correspondence.
- Attend conferences, hearings and trials with counsel.
- Liaise with insurer clients.
- Conduct settlement negotiations, including drafting and advising on Part 36 offers.
- Prepare trial documentation.
- Conduct advocacy by telephone and in person.
What we are looking for:
- A qualified Solicitor or equivalent with relevant technical capability.
- 0-3 years’ defendant property litigation experience.
- Experience managing a caseload independently.
- Working knowledge of household and commercial property recoveries.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with case management systems.
- Confidence liaising with senior claims handlers on complex and high-value litigation.
